J. Michael Ramsey is a Founding Partner and Strategic Lead at Move Analytical. He is emeritus from UNC - Chapel Hill, where he held the Minnie N. Goldby Distinguished Professor of Chemistry Chair. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, the Optical Society of America, the American Chemical Society, and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.
Dr. Ramsey is the science founder of two public companies, Caliper Technologies (NASDAQ:CALP), renamed Caliper Life Sciences and acquired by PerkinElmer in 2011 and 908 Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:MASS), a company developing revolutionary tools for acquiring chemical and biochemical information. He is also the science founder life sciences tools companies, Genturi Inc. and Codetta Bio Inc. Prof. Ramsey has published over 300 peer-reviewed papers and presented nearly 600 invited, plenary, or named lectures. In addition, he has over 210 issued and multiple pending patents.
